Open the Safari browser on your smartphone.
Enter the URL: iforgot.apple.com and hit Enter.
On the Apple ID sign-in screen, click the option labelled "Forgot Apple ID or password?"
Enter your Apple ID email address, then click "Continue."
Once you've reset your password, go back to the Apple ID account page and sign in with your new password.
